Monday June 17, 2002 - It wouldn't be a trip to the cape without some kite flying!  Kristin and Annie went into Provincetown and picked up a couple of kites.  Here Kwissy and Amy demonstrate their kite flying prowess.

And, lest you doubt their skills, here's photographic proof!  And no special effects or trickery here - just a lot of hot air!  I was talking about the substantial wind, not about Amy or Kwissy's boasting...

Earlier that day we had taken a trip down to the beach - the tide was low, so I was able to walk way out into the water - I actually walked out as far as Jim's boat (which you can see in the first Cape pictures a couple of pages back).

While I was out there I ran across some sea critters - here's a shrimp that was flitting around...

And this incredibly clear picture is a crab, with a bunch of seaweed growing off it.  It's not a normal crab, with big claws - I think it was a spider crab, with eight long and skinny legs.
